Columbia Media Day…
16th March 2012
My clothing sponsor COLUMBIA invited national and international journalists to a testing weekend in Kühtai… My duty was to ski with them and show them around in the area… We had a wonderful day, couldn’t have been better, as the sun was shining, blue sky and happy people…

Pitztal weekend…
17th/18th March 2012
…I had a visit from my czech friend Nikki and we decided to spend the weekend in the mountains in the Pitztal valley…
First day we hiked the Mittagskogel and skied the East Face… The conditions were quite changing but there were hardly and tracks down there…
After some great turns in the snow, we packed all our touring gear together to hike up to the Braunschweiger Hut and stay at the “Winterraum” there… With the possibility of taking the skitram up to the mountain, the hut is easy accessible and within an hour we approached the hut… We were lucky as there was a storm coming up and you don’t wanna be outdoors in a whiteout…
No other people were around, so the whole “Winterraum” for us… Heating the oven, playing cards, melting snow, having fun… Great times!
The next day we just took it easy and went up to Riffelsee… Great spring skiing there… Tested my touring equipment in its downhill abilities… Yes, it’s good! The new 106 Watea Fischer Ski is awesome! Love it!
