Little Colorado somewhere in the Alps ;-)…

Sometimes it’s the hidden, secret spots to go to, ski with locals and get to know their home spots better… Always a good choice 🙂

Six days of permanent, high performance skiing from early in the morning until late in the afternoon have done their work, my knees are completely wasted and now it’s time to rest  and bike… The crash in Hintertux has left it’s mark. My healthy knee is trattered but it should be alright if I give some days of rest now… Hopefully! Pretty hard when the weather is soooo beautiful outside… But it’s always necessary to listen to the signs of your body 😉

Okay, I couldn’t resist and joined my friends for another powder day yesterday, had a great time on the mountain but now a couple of rest days are planned… Don’t want to but have to… DON’T LIKE! Where is the don’t like button 😉 hahaha…

…and a very short vid from Simon shreddin down the colouir… I opened up the line 🙂 Doesn’t look as steep and spectacular as it was on the vid but gives an impression how cool the day was… Vid by a handy cam…

Hintertux…

OMG, when I skied down the slope in Kaltenbach/Zillertal yesterday, it was like a human slalom fighting for your life 😉 I’m soooo happy that I’m in the positition to ski by without having trouble ;-)… But no wonder that soooo many accidents happen late in the afternoon… Icy conditions made the situation even worse…

So today on the Hintertux glacier it was like heaven! Hardly any people, no crowds and all alone going off-piste… That’s the adventage of the  glacier in winter… Hardly any people come here and it’s great to ski there….

Claudia and me stayed at Petra’s place overnight, had sooo much fun watching the ski-show with a Bavarian guy and a Canadian girl 🙂 The moderator was always commenting wrong when the Freestylers were jumping;-) So funny ;-)…

Max accompanied us for the day… So a Telemarker, a snowboarder and a skier – cool combination ;-)…

The weather god didn’t mean it that good with us…. So we skied off-piste with having white-outs, had some great pow-turns but when you hardly can see anything it’s always more of a challenge… Still soooo rocky in the back-country, we def need more snow!

Last run I tumbled and thought, noooo please, not my knee… But so far it should be good, at least it isn’t swollen yet but my body feels a bit sore… and my knees feel the hard compensation from the last couple of days skiing in the powder in a row… Resting and recovering days the next days… 😉

Another great day on the mountain! Thxxxx Max and Claudsch!!!!

Ziener Coaching… Ride with the “Pro”…

After the Christmas holidays and great powder skiing at my homeplace Easttyrol I was invited to accompany young adults between 18-22 years for skiing in the Chillervalley… In Co-operation with ZIENER a day with myself was organised…

http://www.ruf-jugendreisen.de/info/winter/ziener-coaching.asp

We had a great day and they all had much fun on the snow… Although the snow conditions aren’t that good anymore we found more than enough cool spots to ski and they were all very interested in avalanche security…

Arlberg…

…Hüttenrallye day yesterday in St. Anton…

http://www.redbull.at/cs/Satellite/de_AT/Red-Bull-Hüttenrallye

But instead of riding the Red Bull Freeskicross Event I accompanied some of my friends to climb up the winter “via ferrata” up on top of the Rendl, one of my favourite Winter destinations – THE ARLBERG :-)…

http://www.stantonamarlberg.com/de/winter/klettern/index.html

Down in the valley warm and “föhny” conditions but the wind was blowing up on top, so it had the perfect temperatures for hiking and climbing along the ridge…

2,5 hours hiking along a the ridge and afterwards skiing down powder would have been perfect… But we knew what to expect… Wind-blown, old snow, hard to ski on but great to keep you working on your skis ;-)…

Another great day on the mountain! …and perfect timing… we got down to St. Anton and saw the finals of the Red Bull Hüttenrallye 🙂 Some of my friends took part, happy for them about the great results!!!! Supppaaaa Stevie, Phil & Co 🙂

Impressions from the day…

Zugspitze…

…got a call from Dominic, our Ziener teammanager, yesterday evenig… If I would be able to come to Garmisch and get in some more action shots for one freeride outfit for the upcoming season… Deadline for the winter catalogue 2011/12 was 5 p.m… So we still had some time 😉 hahaha…

That’s the best thing of being a student, being able to skip lessons and instead, spend the time on the mountain 🙂 (okay, not always possible ;-)…)

Picked up Michi the photographer, www.outdoor-fotoworks.com and went with him up to the Zugspitze… It was my first time up there and the panorama was really impressive! But there wasn’t much time to enjoy the view, we had to shoot some good pics… But when the weather and especially the light doesn’t play with you, you are definetely f…. We were unlucky and couldn’t get in any more action shots… The light was flat and Michi said it’s useless…. At least he could take pix of next winters glove selection…. A bit of light was there… So I played “glove-model”…

So I have been up on the Zugspitze, have been to the ski area but without even putting my skis on 😉 That’s the life of an outdoor fotographer, you are absolutely dependent on the weather…

Still, it was a very nice day!!!!

Behind the scenes – Fischer White Crest shooting

Fun, fun, fun in the sun 🙂

Was out with the two Bastis and Mirja – www.mirjageh.com today in Fieberbrunn shooting some scenes for the Fischer White Crest team… We had a great day on the mountain and got in some quite nice shots 🙂

Pix from the Pro, Mirja, should follow the next days… In the meantime some cellphone pix from Basti and me….

ZIENER Freeride Catalogue Fotoshooting…

What a day! Bluebird, fresh powder, sunshine – the recipe to have a great day on the mountain…

We had our Ziener Freeride-Fotoshooting at one of the coolest locations in Austria: the famous ARLBERG, www.stantonamarlberg.com, www.lech-zuers.at

Well, it’s middle of December and the conditions are already very good! Up on the top sections the wind has blown very heavily but further down great powder to ski…

We were shooting for next winters Freeride clothing collection, colours will be cool, me and Johanna got quite tight skiwear for today, so I need at least 2 sizes bigger for my personal gear ;-)…

Michi, Michael Mayer, www.outdoor-fotoworks.com was our photographer and I’m already curious how the pix will turn out 😉 But until I get them, weeks will run by, as he’s very busy at the moment…

Such a great day on the mountain! Puhhhh, but it was soooo cold… We had around – 20 degrees…

Highlight of the day was definetely our Helicopter flight up to the Mehlsack (2658 m) in Lech… Awesome view, 360° mountain panorama, sunset on top… Skiing down was good but still quite rocky… Well, we had the middle of december!!!! Hit quite some rocks today and as it was soooooo cold the skiboots were sooooo stiff and the skis were quite slow 😉  Apart from that, just a great day!

Thanks a lot to ZIENER for making that happen!!!!

Some impressions from the day from my cellphone camera…

APD = AWESOME POWDER DAYS…

Lucky girl 🙂

Yesterday Fieberbrunn, today Arlberg skiing… Life couldn’t be better 🙂

Such a great powder day yesterday with my friends and skibuddies Pia and Mankei… Local snowboard pro Ursl W. accompanied us and took us to the secret spots… Face shots and great pow – skiheart, what do you want more???

Today Arlberg… Unfortunately up on top of the mountains the wind has blown very strong, so quite difficult conditions to ski… Further down in the woods, still great powder to find 🙂 Arlberg is always fun and great for skiing!!!

It was sooooo cold and we had sooooo much fun, but noooooo time for pictures 😉

Toooooo cooooold and toooooo much powder to ski 🙂

Enjoy being out there and take care of you!!!!!

Filmpremiere in Lienz…

Thomas Zimmermann from LaOla Shop in Lienz, www.laola.at, organized and invited us to Lienz, to present our film AS WE ARE in the Cafe WHA in Lienz…

Lots of interested people came to see the movie 🙂 and it was a come-together of the Osttirol Freeskiing scene…

Such a nice evening in a great atmosphere! Thanks a lot to “Zimml” (LaOla Shop) and Paul (Cafe WHA)!!!!! …and THANKS a lot to everybody for coming!!!!
