Weißseespitze Nordwand, 3518 m

Sunny, sunnier, sunniest 🙂 After weeks of rain and bad weather summer strikes back again… But as I never have enough of winter and skiing, I joined mountaineering guide and buddy Otti Hauer (http://www.skischule-tirol.at/) to hike and ski the Weißseespitze…

Oh man, getting up THAT early… 4 a.m. wake up call… But when there is beautiful weather outside and you know the goals for the day, it’s definetely worth it…

More infos about the tour…: http://www.bergsteigen.at/de/touren.aspx?ID=274

We started around 6.30 a.m., hiked the first meters to the entry of the face until we had to put up the crampons and work our way up the mountain… Equipped with crampons, skis on the back and pick… 50 degrees steepness at some parts of the mountain, so no mistake allowed…

our route: hiking up in red, skiing down in blue...
climbing up...

Got up to the top around 9.30 a.m. and had an amazing view from up there!

wonderful view 🙂
Weißseespitze, 3518m, Tirol's 2nd highest peak...
...looks sooo flat but it wasn't 😉
Today my function was taking pix with Otti's cam... That's my favourite, thxxx to photoshop 😉

Kaunertaler and Ötztaler surroundings...

Another great day on the mountain!!!!

Thxxx to Otti!!!!

…My back and my knee is killing me as hiking up on crampons was hard work and the snow-conditions for skiing down were hard and bumpy (we waited on top of the mountain till 11 a.m. but the snow didn’t soften up…) and this is the worst situation for my knee… But it seems like, that I always learn through pain 😉 …No pain, no gain 😉

Skis are now finally put away in the cellar, waxed and are waiting to be skied again in autumn/winter… Looking already forward!!!! 🙂

Biketour with Liz…

Friday… Totally motivated for biking on Thursday, already was looking forward to Friday but didn’t hear my alarm clock… Overslept 😦 … And I had to meet Liz at 7.45 a.m…. Well, couldn’t make that as I woke up at 7.50 ;-)… Oh man, I really had a bad feeling as that’s not my way… But sh… happens ;-)The next bus left at 10 a.m. So I had some more time to relax and enjoy my breakfast… Well, took it a bit toooo easy as Liz called me again and told me if I won’t come within the next few minutes she will miss this bus from Landeck going to Ischgl… So I had to hurry and met her, drove to Landeck, parked there and was lucky to be on time as 5 minutes later we would have missed the bus and that would have caused me trouble with my bike buddy… All went good though 🙂 Our first bike tour together and I completely messed it up… Sorry again Liz!!!! 😉

Liz is working as a mountainbike-guide for Bike-Alpin, so she had to bike the section from Ischgl – Martina – Nauders… and I accompanied her on that day…

Was a really cool day with less uphill – most of it was down-hill 🙂 My favourite 🙂 Over 1000 hm downhill – nice 🙂

Thanks for the day Liz!!!!!

still LOTS of snow in the mountains...
LOST???? 😉
...dirty girls back on track :-)...

Mel’s twentieth Birthday ;-)…

Birthday weekend – a very special one 🙂 Together with my friends and family I celebrated my 20th, ohh well, okay, my 30th birthday ;-)… Still twenty in my heart, mind and soul but my bones feel like sixty already ;-)…

A weekend of good vibes, great people, awesome surroundings, snow, rain, everything 🙂 Thxxxx soooo much to everybody who came and played a major role on this weekend 🙂 Lovin’ it!!!! Thxxxx a lot!!!!

A birthday without a sporty day??? No – not with me 😉 So Sarah, Mankei and myself biked from Matrei to Innergschlöss, nearly without getting wet… Till late afternoon the weathergod meant it good with us and didn’t let it rain…

Rainy days…

Well, after a great, sunny week, rain is back again… People are getting depressed and are complaining BUT you can’t change it, so make the best out of it!!!!

The saying: “There is no bad weather, just bad clothing”… is kind of true 😉 So what to do on a free, rainy Friday?? Called my friend Babs and went on a rain-bike tour with her… Equiped with rainjacket and rainpants – NO PROBLEM!!! Nice and cool… The way I like it anyway ;-)…

We had sooooo much fun playing around in the dirt, coming down a very, very challenging trail but NO PROB for us… Managed it 🙂 Dirt everywhere, even on the teeth, wet until the underpants – ahhhh 😉

Was one of the best bike sessions so far this season :-)…

AWESOME!!!!
