66 km, 1850 hm… The Karwendeltour from Scharnitz to Pertisau and further on to Jenbach is definetely a highlight in terms of scenery… Biking through the Karwendel-Alpenpark = AWESOME!!!! Okay, for a downhill oriented biker it might be not soooo challenging but in terms of condition it’s a good workout…
Together with Pia (it was her idea…) we started in Scharnitz around 9 a.m…. Another beauiful day with sunshine and blue sky was waiting for us… I should have put on different tyres 😉 because my bike isn’t equipped for touring… hahahhaa… A good training though… It was german national holiday, so there were many, many bikers and hikers on the way… But by leaving the crowded tracks, we were rewarded by some cool trails and on the whole tour we didn’t see any bikers going off the track… Okay, with a carbon Hardtail you shouldn’t go there ;-)…
Two mountain passes and hours later we arrived Pertisau, biked down to Jenbach to catch the train back to Ibk… After this long day on the bike I couldn’t cancel my biker-training, so I went there to train with some of my biker-buddies… Loooong but beautiful day!!!!
