Update from the Mattertal…

It’s been a while and in this month away back from home, what I call ‘TIROL, I’ve experienced lots of new adventures and met already lots of new people living for the same passion as I do – THE LOVE TO THE MOUNTAINS and being outdoors 🙂

Time for leisure activities is limited but therefore I enjoy it even more when I have time for slacklining, climbing or my biggest passion in summer: BIKING – especially improving my downhill skills 🙂

I’ve mentioned it quite often already but I’m sooooo happy with my new bike and have already had some great runs down the swiss mountains… I’m loving it:-)

My last free days are already quite some time ago… But doesn’t matter… Time is flying by and I’m here to work my way around to be flexible in winter and living my dreams… 🙂

I’ve been over to Nendaz last week biking and exploring the area there… 4vallees… Beautiful!!! Well the weather wasn’t that awesome, it was actually quite cool and seemed like raining but it didn’t matter… The only thing that really mattered was my bad no actually worst muscle ache ever!!!!

@ Nendaz...

Let me tell you what or how that happened… I’ve been asked by one of the mountainguides to accompany them for climbing and of course I didn’t say no… But on that day I was working until 3 p.m. and had to be back at work at 6 p.m. So within 3 hours climbing and finding the new climbing wall… As the guys already left earlier and also didn’t have a clue where exactly the climbing wall was, I had to follow my intuition and find it… Hiking up the mountain in the heat, searching and not finding the climbing garden and also limited time… Well, not the best circumstances 😉 But didn’t matter as I thought it would be good to explore the area, to find the way the next time 🙂

Finally I made it and found Tom and Flo climbing, a lot of French climbers also there in St. Niklaus… Impressive and great rocks… The guys were on a “Mehrseillängentour”, so I had to wait for them… Lying in the sun and slowing down… From always working, biking or doing sports, working and sleeping… 😉 It was 5.15 p.m. until I finally got to climb and I knew it would be the only route ;-)… Because it would take me around 25 min to get back to the car… Was a cool route and quite a hard one too but had to leave afterwards… At 5.30 p.m. I packed my gear, backpack and rope to run down the hill on the trail to get to the car asap… As I’m definetely not used to running down the mountain, which is not the best for my knee anyway, I caught the worst muscle ache in my legs ever 😉 But I was fast, within 15 min back to the car, shower, changing clothes and back at work at 6 p.m…. So not bad, right ;-)…

Lost track now… Okay biking in Nendaz with my bad muscle ache… Worse pain and of course I can’t do nothing on my day-off 😉 But paid my dues afterwards… Felt like an old lady on that day but was sooooo happy and proud of myself to reach the top-station of the cable-car… Some downhillers came in my direction so I already spotted out some trails to go down… And thats really the coolest part… Working your way up to challenge yourself going down… 🙂 Loving it…

Two days after Nendaz I had another day-off for the next week… This day I couldn’t do any sports, I had to listen to my body and say – NO – recover and “GIVE A RÜAH” ;-)…

So T.M. and myself went over to Chamonix… My first time ever in that awesome place… Loved it there!!! The flair, so many sportspeople around, just awesome!!! Luckily the weather was good in the morning to see Montblanc and Aguille Midi and surroundings… Wow, a magical place to be!!!!

Shopping day with a man – can be tough 😉 But we had a nice time there and as he already lived there for a while, he was a very good tourist guide 🙂 In change I was his personal shopping assistant ;-)… Won’t have been the last time I’ve been there 🙂

cool wall painting in town...

Yesterday I’ve been to Zermatt again, also a magical place 🙂 Biking around the Matterhorn and the other 4000peaks is really a highlight and I love it there tooo!!!! Right now a lot of skiteams are here for training and just a couple of days ago I met a buddy for a coffee how was here training with his private team… So having good times but also working a lot 😉
