Do you know those days when just everything you do goes wrong? I bet you do! 😉 …I guess everybody has some of those days in his/her life when you just wish that the day is over and the next day begins…
Well, I had one of those days today ;-)…
Finally I had my day off that I was soooo looking forward tooo :-)… Nice weather again, already looking forward to my planned bike-tour: Visp – Brig – BLS Lötschberg Südrampe – Visp…
Parked my car in Visp, got on the bike, 1km later I thought, have I locked my trunk or not? Hmmm… Sh… Did I or didn’t I??? That kept my mind busy but I didn’t want to return, so I just thought, well if not, bad luck, very bad luck… with all my money in there…
My body and mind is quite tired from all the work but I keep focused and try to be motivated as I know that I won’t have to work all winter ;-)… That’s enough motivation ;-)…
I planned this biketour with help or inspiration from a swiss guy, who also biked the Gemmitrail…
The Südrampentrail is located high up the Rhonevalley… Beautiful views to the Mattertal and Saastal with the highest peaks, such as Weisshorn and Matterhorn included…
A cool trail with some really hard rideable parts… The cool thing, hardly any hikers up here today… So no arguing with them ;-)…
And also a very special thing up here are the “Suonen”… German explanation here:

Well, what else happened during that day? Hit my shin on a rock without my shin guards on (put them on just after that happened ;-)…) and then… My Suunto watch… In the morning it was quite cool but later on it got warmer and warmer… Summer was greeting again… So I stopped to take off some bike wear, including the sleeve extenders… I also had to take off my watch… Well, put everything in the backpack but not the watch (that I of course didn’t realize ;-)..) So I went on… About an hour later I wanted to know how late it was, so I looked at my handwrist… OMG, no watch… No time… The best of the trail was coming up and I didn’t want to return… I knew where to go to find the watch afterwards and decided – If I’m lucky, it’ll still be there , if I’m unlucky, bad luck…
After a great bike ride I was back at the car and had to drive to the place where I lost my watch… And what a miracle… Along this quite frequented bike-path in the forrest it was still lying there 🙂 So happy 🙂 and had to laugh about myself ;-)… Stupid Mel ;-)…
Some impressions of the trail and the beautiful surroundings…
