Another awesome day to enjoy on the mountain :-)… So lucky!!!! This time I biked from Herbriggen to Zermatt and took up the cog railroad „Gornergratbahn“… http://www.gornergratbahn.ch It’s really impressive up to where in Switzerland the train is leading… The Gornergratbahn brings you up from Zermatt (1620m) to the top station (3089m) within half an hour and of course I wasn’t by myself 😉 Hundreds of tourists enjoyed the beautiful weather and took the convinience of the train to get up and be inspired by the wonderful mountains, 29 peaks over 4000 m… The famous Matterhorn included…
Wow, the view up there is really impressive but pictures tell more than words… So here you go…
Didn’t stay up at Gornergrat that long, as there were toooooo many tourists… First part of the downhill session started… First down the stairs and then 800 hm downhill 🙂 On the way down two british guys caught up with me and I thought why not take some pix of them to give an impression of the trail…
It was challenging as usual but lots of fun 🙂 Also cool that I didn’t stay toooo far behind them 😉 Met them further down at Grünsee again but they jumped in the water and I said bye and went on… In peak season hikers and bikers aren’t best friends 😉 So it’s always quite interesting how the hikers react ;-)…
Went on my bike tour and soon got on the next single trail that led me down back to Täsch… Another 800 hm downhill session 🙂 Love it… The only thing I don’t like are the sharp corners, they aren’t always rideable 😉 But also getting better and better in riding them ;-)…
