Wow, made it 🙂 Done with working… Now it’s time to hit the road and explore some parts of the Swiss and French Alps…
Left the beautiful Mattertal around noon and went further to Bellwald http://www.bellwald.ch/tourismus/web/de/sommer/downhill-mtb – my bike playground for the afternoon… Second time in my life in a bikepark… After Crans Montana the next stop… It’s a well-known hotspot for downhillers, I saw some video’s on Youtube and knew that it’s gonna be challenging… And it was 😉
Within 6 times riding the trail, I kissed the ground twice ;-)… Full of dirt all over 😉 hehehe…
Had a great afternoon and went on… Final destination for the night: Simplonpass… Parked my car and packed my stuff to find a cool place to camp… And now I’m sitting here in my tent, riding those lines, it’s sooooo windy outside that it somehow feels that the tent is flying away ;-)… And then all those different noises outside.. uhuuhh… I’ve seen toooo many horror movies ;-)…

Oh man, my head hurts!!!!! That story a bit later…
The night was kind of sleepless, as it was so windy outside and it felt like the tent would fly away… In the middle of the night it started raining cats and dogs, so… Well… Whatever… In the morning I had that weather…
Luckily the rain stopped but it was quite cool, so I decided to bike down to Gondo without my protection gear – okay, that was a mistake… Just warm clothing… 20 km’s and 1200 hm downhill – nice 🙂
Just a few minutes before Gondo, on the Single trail it happened… I crashed… My head hit a huge rock … Lucky me I just got a huge swelling on the forehead and could ride on… Learned my lesson and I won’t go out riding without protection gear, especially helmet anymore!!!! Silly me ;-)…
Now I’m sitting here in St. Leonhard, near Sion at a very nice place, enjoying the last spells of the sun before I leave for Chamonix…

…in Chamonix… Love it here – the flair, the surroundings – AWESOME!!!!! As the weather wasn’t good and I still have to recover and take it easy after my bike crash, I just went shopping and strolling around in town… Just a joyful, nice day in Cham…

No biking today 😦 Planned it but my back brake wasn’t working anymore, so going downhill without brakes – not a good idea ;-)… Alternative programm: Hiking 🙂 Took the cable car up to the first station of Aguille d’Midi – what a panorama and beautiful day! Hiked over to Mer de Glace and was just fascinated by the impressive surroundings…

Finally… Bike session in Chamonix… Without any crashes and finally with a full-face helmet :-)… Another beautiful day – lucky me 🙂
After Chamonix I hit the road again and stopped by in Verbier…
Left Verbier, drove to Zürich to stay for some days at my friends place 🙂 Climbing day with Nici at the Vierwaldstättersee :-)…
