Had to get out of the valley and see something different… So no mountainbike session, took out my road bike and decided to bike to and along Lac Leman… On the way there I had a few foto stops as the beauty of the nature always amazes me… In the Mattertal there are lots of small villages high up at the mountain… Beautiful, but could you imagine living up there??? When the kids are playing soccer for example and they shoot it tooooo far, it’s gone… Gone 1000 m below the cliffs ;-)…
Getting out of the Mattertal means that the valley is opening up and also the mind is opening up again ;-)… Not saying that the locals are narrow minded, nooooo ;-)…. They are just living in there own worlds…;-)
When driving through Martigny, I already thought, ohhh noooo, the wind is gonna blow me away… So extra training when biking ;-)… Parked my car and started my tour… First aim to go… Montreux… And afterwards… Lausanne… And yes… I was cycling AGAINST the winds… Oh wonder ;-)…
Seeing something different and exploring a new region is always great… And so the wind was just a side effect… 50 km’s later, I arrived Lausanne… A huge metropole, posh inner city and a complete different flair… Well, very French and just French speaking people there… I also know a few words already 😉 hehe…
It was another beautiful day and it was a good decision to stay low, as in the mountains the clouds were still not cast away… My plan going to and biking in Crans Montana will have to wait…

On the way back I stopped in Montreux… The “musical capital” of Switzerland… Beautiful mediteranean city, also very posh – you can see who lives here… The rich and beautiful people 😉 Those villa’s and houses… I wonder how many million francs those houses cost…???
Had a great day in a different world before I drove back to Herbriggen… My home for another month…
Actually I should have worked again today but due to some miscommunication I had another day-off… Well, NO PROBLEM 😉 It was just raining cats and dogs!!!! So what to do on a day like that?? Doing nothing???? NOOOOO, toooo boring ;-)… I’m soooo happy that I have a car, to live the freedom and do whatever I want to do… So I drove to Sierre, a nice town in the Rhone valley, with about 15000 inhabitants to go shopping and strolling around… Later on I drove further to Leukerbad and enjoyed the thermal water with hardly any people younger than fifty ;-)… Was good to relax in the water and just do… Well lets say: NOTHING 😉 Hard for me but good ;-)…
