Went with Fredi to the new secret freeride spot;-) Great conditions there:-) and hardly any people off-piste…
Fredi is a great skier, a good friend and a hobby photographer, so he took his camera with him that day and we got some awesome powder and some really nice shots… You can find more in the gallery 🙂
It’s quite interesting to go skiing with a becoming dad;-)… His wife, Mary, also a great skier and snowboarder – they are actually both working as trainers for ski-instructors – had to stay behind because she had problems with her throat… She is also pregnant, so Fredi called her I think 3 times during the day if she is okay;-) They are gonna be awesome parents!!!! Both are already looking sooooo forward for the baby, still some time until July…
It really needs more snow in the mountains, where is it??? BUT if you are searching for it, you can still find it – the white gold named POWDER 🙂

…at the moment – life is just great!!! I’m in the happy position that I can consider when and where I want to go skiing, always on the road with awesome skiers who share the same passion as I do 🙂
Today we went to a awesome place in Tirol, won’t tell you where because it’s top secret;-) Met Pia and her skibuddies in the morning, took the cable car, hiked 45 min and had a great bowl to ski with still lots of powder there! Unbelieveable – if you are searching for powder you can still find it!!!
Had a wonderful day with the guys, thxxx a lot for the day!!! Looking forward to the next snow session:-) Playing around, surfing powder, jumping cliffs:-) AWESOME!!! THXXXX!!!!
…I’m back in Ibk since Monday, organizing a few things, working with my physiotherapist Stefan, skiing and training…
Had a great day in the mountains today!!! Went skiing with Fredi, a friend of mine in Schlick2000. First time there, even though it’s just 20 min. away from Ibk… The area is amazing, great freeriding terrain, tracked out of course anywhere you are able to ski to but if you hike a little you can still find good conditions. So did we, after a warm up run in the tracked out fields, we decided to hike up one of the couloirs. It took quite long to get up there, sinking in knee to hip wide but it was worth the few seconds of skiing down there;-) I caught a rock at the first turn but then I was just going for it:-) Was a lot of fun!!!
Forgot the camera and the cell phone, so no pix… Just in my memory;-) Thxxx Fredi for that day!!!
…back home in Osttirol, actually we wanted to film in Defraggn as the weather forecast said heavy snowfalls for South and Osttirol – well, the weatherfrogs were wrong 😦 No heavy snowfalls 😦 …in 3 days we got 10! cm’s of fresh pow;-) Not enough to film…. The conditions are really good in Osttirol but it needs a little more snow, so please Mrs Holle, send down some snow!!!! ASAP :-)!!!!

I already organized everything with the help of the tourism office, lift tickets, accomodation, talked to Günther and Lupo, the locals who know their ways around but then I had to cancel – not that much pow as predicted 😦
That gave me the opportunity to have a rest day and ski with friends which is always awesome!!! On Sunday we explored our homeregion Matrei, found some good pow, skied in the trees, got stuck there and had soooo much fun 🙂

2nd to 7th January 2010
Zinal, CH
We arrived in Zinal late in the evening (Saturday, 2nd January 2010) – traffic jam all over Austria and Switzerland… I guess it was the most busy traffic day in the year;-) …driving there – was just awesome as the sky was clear, the stars shining – saw Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau on the way there…:-)
Stayed at a awesome chalet in Zinal, very “urig”;-) and met Giulia, Laura and Yves (photographer) the next morning to go shooting and filming. The weather wasn’t that good, we did some filming and shooting but not that much that day…

Sunday afternoon… 1h drive from Zinal to Verbier… such a cool place!!! …stayed in two rooms above the bar where Laura used to work… we could stay there for free – awesome!!! …didn’t get that much sleep for those days as the music was going on until 2 a.m….;-(

Quick breakfast at the bakery – beautiful view from that place!!!, met Giulia and Laura at the cable car, photographer Yves Garnau is with them again, some warming up powder turns, splitting the groups, I stayed with Lori, Laura and Matthias, filming some lines, good conditions, accident of Matthias – he lost his ski, fell and the camera got kissed by the snow;-(, searching for a outdoor toilet at the top station of the cable car;-)… shooting with Yves, good light, some great pix, skied down at 16.30 – were sooo lucky that we caught the last gondola, back at our rooms, chilling dinner at a very nice restaurant, beer at the bar, watching some skivideos together… 🙂

Filming morning, very cold, just one face, takes ways to long…
…in Verbier till 2morrow with the skigirls and the filmcrew. Had some beautiful days, were really lucky with the weather and got some great pix and film lines… Pix should be following the next days…
…will write an update the next days about how it was in Verbier… soooo tired as I haven’t slept that much;-) …hard work on the mountain…

I got a call from Sandy yesterday… It’s on… We are leaving 2day to go to Verbier and Zinal in Switzerland, starting filming and shooting with the girls… 🙂 Wohooooo, sooooo excited!!!
Drove to Ibk in the morning, the traffic was horrible… Oh man, soooo many tourists on the way, max. speed till Kitzbühel – 40 km/h… Because of 1cm snow on the road… 😉 Silly me, in KB I realized that I forgot sth… Sth really important;-)… My skiboots…hehe… soooo stupid… I called home but we considered that it’s easier to go to Ibk and not back as the traffic was just sooo bad… Good that I have another pair in Ibk;-)…
A new adventure is on… Wow!!!! Filming for a Freeskimovie with just girls – one of my dreams – now it’s not a dream anymore!!! It’s becoming true!!! Wish us luck that we have good weather and good conditions!!!
I don’t know if I will have Internet access there… but I will try to keep u updated how everything is going…
Snow – where r u??? After being in Innsbruck for a day, organizing things and working with my physiotherapist Stefan, www.weitblick-innsbruck.at, I went with a friend to Obergurgl, to go skiing there. Back to some of my roots, as I’ve been working there for such a long time!!! It was really cool to ski up there… While waiting for the lift, I always met soooo many familiar people – was great to see them!!! So me, Lisi and Carsten enjoyed the great conditions, well on the slopes, off-piste – no-go, as it was sooo wind-blown, tooo many rocks greeting – they definetely need more snow for back-country skiing. Obergurgl got dumped the end of November, such a pity that the heavy winds destroyed those great conditions… It’s such a cool place to ski!!!!
Yesterday training with Stefan and then back home to Osttirol again:-) As there is way to less snow in Nordtirol, Osttirol is a better call…;-) Hopefully more snow to come!!! Skied with my sister and Simon 2day in St. Jakob… Found some good lines but PLEASE!!! Mrs Holle: SEND MORE SNOW!!!! WE NEED MORE POWDER!!!! 😉

…back home in Osttirol for the Xmas-holidays… Enjoying the days with my family and friends!!! Since I’m here, we’ve just been skiing – I’m loving it!!! St. Jakob the last two days – the first day was really good, still found some powder in the woods, yesterday it rained up to 2000 m!!! Oh nooooo!!!!
Today beautiful day, sunshine, skied in my hometown Matrei, www.gg-resort, had lots of fun with my friends and family, some great lines, the surface is good but since it rained yesterday, a bit fresh pow on top, enough to have fun off-piste…;-)

Last weekend we had our first meeting for our girls-freeskimovie in Fieberbrunn… It’s gonna be awesome!!! Get together of Lori, Giulia, Laura, Pia, Sandy and me… We had a lot of fun and were really productive… The story for the film is set, we are ready, just waiting for more snow to come!
